Birthday Joy!

This past weekend was my birthday! :D Best part is it's always on a 3 day weekend! I have to say, my boyfriend is so thoughtful! He got me a wonderful present!

A Nook Color! Look at his packaging! Is that not the cutest, sweetest thing! :D The nook is fantastic because I can look up my patterns on it while I'm downstairs knitting, crocheting, or sewing. It's so useful! And it's Android capable so that means it has all the power of your smart phone! Yaaay! Hah! Except phone calls that is. But I can totally play games on it :D

So much to do!

I've been so busy lately! Work, Swaps, Convention Planning! It really knows how to eat up your time. PariahCon is less than 1 month away! I feel a bit overwhelmed because I have to get some Miss Pokemon Sashes made and I currently have no one to make them! D: Time to scout out the local sewing shops for someone who will take a commission on an embroidery machine. I hope that goes well.

In other craft-tastic news, last month I joined the On-Going Wish Swap over on Craftster. Here are the goodies I mailed out to Miss PixieVal. I claimed her for some grannie squares and a Wisty Surprise!

Aren't those slippers just the cutest!? I bought Sylvia's Pattern for Skimmers and they turned out so cute! Bravo Sylvia! I would never have come up with constructing these slippers on my own. And I'm currently in the process of making a pair for myself :D

Pretty Purple Blankie

I few months ago I decided to crochet a baby blanket for someone who was a having a baby....well....turns out they are not having a girl...and this blanket is purple. Well, I decided to go ahead and finish it anyway. It was a good stash buster and is a super cute design! I am thinking about selling this one in my Etsy Shop and make a boy colored blanket instead. My only hesitant is that this blanket is 21"x 22" and I think that is too small to be a baby blanket. I don't know if people sell blankets this small and is it even worth selling. Either way, the photos came out awesome!

I'm Back!

It's been two weeks since I posted something. I've just been so busy since I've been back. I had an important launch last week and since its over I now have time to myself. :)

On my vacation I went to South NJ, Philadelphia, and NYC! The cities were beautiful! Everything is in bloom up north right now. Not all dead and dried up like Florida. Low 50s and windy. Just my kind of weather! I LOVED it!

I finally got to wear my Marbled Capucine Hat that I finished months ago! Winter in FL is super short so I won't get to wear it again until next year. But I did remember to pack for my day in NYC! The wind was constantly trying to blow it off of me!

The attempted this pattern 4 or 5 times before I finally got it right. The hat always came out waaaaay to small. I had to add some extra stitches and I posted my modified version in the Ravelry link above.

Hehe! Thats my mom in the photo above. Isn't she just the sweetest!
